spiral

I remember an early memory where I sat at the kitchen table drawing, mother was doing dishes. I drew circles with my pencil and said to mum: this is a downward tunnel and you are falling down into it. I was serious and my mother lightly said oh dear, and I remember thinking You dont even take me serious! Not sure why she was falling down the tunnel, but I would have liked to be taken serious. I didnt have the words but my drawing helped me express.

Later on in my creative work I have painted spirals and they represent revolution and growth of the spirit. It is a symbol of change and development. My creations have been a form of meditation for me to escape challenges in my life. I look back at a time when I painted this and it fits perfect, I had big changes after this artwork was made.
