Today I feel inspired to write about how I created the 2 landscape paintings of Trees in the Forest. I actually painted those in my kitchen, on the floor. I had 2 60x70 cm frames and ordered canvas to fit the frames. Should mention that one of the frames is black and one is silver. I decided to paint a pink layer first and then start on the sky. My blue and white mixed on the canvas with a large brush. My favourite big brush is really a good brush, had it for years and it still works amazing.

After the sky was painted I did the trees in different greens, and added the yellow on the tree that is with yellow leaves. I did the foreground and put the paintings aside for months. I knew they needed more details on the leaves and how to do it. They still waited for a long time to be finished. I recently added the details and was happy with the result.

I like to work on two paintings at the same time, to get a pair. Sometimes more than 2. The colours are the same and even though they are different, with the trees they still look great together.

I like the energy in these two, I like the bit of pink shining through here and there. They would look amazing in a set together. like someone said to me once: there is something with you and trees and I guess there is.

I have shared the images of these on my social media accounts and get great feed back. They are for sale and I will have prints made also. Contact me if you want the energy of a forest hanging on your wall.
