Forgot the point

This time I am sharing something that did not go as planned. A little embarrassing even.
I painted a big wall mural in June and I knew that there was going to be an official opening for the two murals painted this summer. When I painted my plan was to talk about why I painted wild flowers and sunflowers, why I painted a small ladybird, a bee and two butterflies. My thought was to speak about this in my artist talk. About how we need to keep flowers to care for our bees, and butterflies etc. I love poppies, daisies and sunflowers and have painted them many times. This Saturday was the opening and artist talk. Local newspapers and people came to take part in the Vernisage. Would you believe it I didnt talk about the bees, and ladybirds at all. I forgot, yes I forgot the whole point of my painting. Not only that but I also said that there was no thoughs behind it. I know I should have wrote it down, but I really didnt think I could forget in a few months why I had painted what I did.
A bee came and sat on the wall as I was painting, it stayed for long enough for me to look at it and it was a model for the bee I painted. Yes I forgot to say that too.
I am trying to find the positive in this, so I didnt faint, fart or fall over while I did my artist talk, so I have to say it was successful. I did say something just not what my thoughts were behind it all.
Great colours
